My god. I took Dave back today, to no power. :(
My house is still standing, with the exception of the roof to the back porch. It decided that it needed to be flipped upside down. I guess it was ready to turn over and tan on the other side. The mango tree has been uprooted. I don't know if I can express how freaking HAPPY I am about that (stupid mangoes), alas it is resting on a power line...almost nestled like a wee babe in the arms of her mommie. All the family is safe.
I took over some more water, dry goods, batteries (I think I got the last 3 packages of D cell batteries in Lee county), soda and about 80 lbs of ice. I felt like a one woman FEMA operation. Everyone was very happy to see the ice train come rolling in. No word yet on the twins' house. I should find out tomorrow about that. I really hope that house is still standing, I don't know what they will do if they don't have a place to live.
In other news, I found out 2 weeks ago that my dad had a mini heart attack. FUN!
I am so flooded with relief that everyone is ok that I don't know what to do, so I shall just sleep. I am fucking exhausted.
