OH NOES I COULDN'T BUY A $400 SCARF

Read this on salon.com in The Fix area of the site:

Oprah Winfrey is reportedly thinking of discussing on the air her recent treatment at Hermès' Paris store. The store employees would not let her in to make a purchase moments after closing. "They knew exactly who she was," a friend of Winfrey's (who said she suspects Oprah's race was a factor) told the press. "They specifically said, 'We know who you are.'"

I have a feeling race ISN'T a factor, it's the fact the store was CLOSED. I feel guilty being the person showing up five minutes to close to grab whatever I need very quickly. Why does it seem celebrities feel they should get special treatment everywhere they go because their face is on tv? And? So are the people on COPS, I don't see anyone giving them special treatment.

get over it.
