Trent Spins

Blergh

I'm feeling much better now. I think the plague has mostly left. I didn't even get much of a chest cold this go round, that makes things much nicer. The past two Wednesdays have been spent in bed, I'm hoping to change that this Wednesday and actually get something done around the house.

What else has been going on? I rented a few movies, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer,Next, and Premonition.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer was interesting. Dustin Hoffman is fantastic in a character role. He's a perfumer (perfumier?) in 18th century Paris and buys this young man to work for him. Grenoiulle (pardon my bad French spelling) has the keenest nose in the world. He wants to learn every smell and hold it. And he is bought by Dustin Hoffman to learn how. He travels to Provencal (maybe?) and near the end of the movie comes head to head with Alan Rickman (swooon!). Delicious Alan Rickman. Anyways, it's an interesting flick. I recommend it. No gore, which is great in a murder movie, but you can imagine the smells of 18th century Paris just by looking at everything in the streets. Ewww.

Next is a movie loosely based on a Phillip K. Dick short story, The Golden Man. The same guy who did Total Recall did this movie. Lots of action sequences, special effects, and Nicolas Cage. That pretty much sums it up. Oh, and it starts in Vegas because Nic Cage less than threes Vegas.

Premonition is a Sandra Bullock movie. I haven't finished it yet, but it's a little confusing. Like it's trying to be a M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie or something, but not quite. Yeah, I dunno, but the guy from Charmed who played the Source is in this one (Julian McMahon). He's cute. Oh, and he's on Nip/Tuck. Anyways, it's not a terrible movie, but like I said, I haven't finished it yet. I was interrupted to go have a beer instead of staying in my pathetic sad life laying on my couch while the cats keep my legs warm.

The really shitty thing about not having internet at home is that all these things pop into my head and I can't post them for posterity on the ol' LJ. That kind of bums me out a bit. But, there is one question that I must pose to all of you out there:

QUE ES MAS MACHO? JOHN OATES' MUSTACHE OR SAM ELLIOT'S MUSTACHE?
