Moving is exciting (if it's into a better place). Hopefully J. will have learned to defer to you on how to go about all the moving business.

I still have some damn boxes if you end up needing them.

He's been doing some cleaning, but not the kitchen. It's one of the things that gives me the most anxiety. I do the encouraging thing for when he does clean, but, you know, he's not my kid.

I'm glad Jessie was there for you during your breakdown, but why hasn't he been helping to clean the place? Have you gently suggested that he pitch in more while you're floating him?
