If you want things done right you have to do them yourself. Right? Yes, it is actually. Unfortunately, no one listens.

Until you threaten to quit.

THEN they are ALL ears.

Lemme splain.

See, the coffee shop is driving me nuts because of the two teenagers working there. Now, I know that I'm not so old that I've forgotten what it was like to be 18 and in love and feeling my independence, insert any cliche here, etc. So, why is it that I can't seem to understand why these two absolutely will not do what they are supposed to do?

Is it that their work ethics (if they even have one) do not mesh with mine? Is it because I feel that certain things should be done before you leave to make things easier for the next person?

Is it really that hard to restock a soda case? A snack display? Clean the half and half pitcher (I won't even go into what I cleaned out of that thing today)? Is it so hard to move a 5 gallon water jug from the cart into the cabinet with the water pump?????

Any and all answers will be excepted.

So, I explained to my boss that if things didn't improve by the time I got back from vacation, I would be putting in my two weeks notice and that would be the end of it.

He is supposedly working on the problem. We'll see. I personally would tell them that they have 2 weeks in which to shape up or ship out. That's it. No more mister nice guy. This isn't rocket science, it's a coffee shop for crying out loud. Damn kids. See, this is why I am beginning to hate teenagers.

Oh, and I should be able to move back into my bedroom on Thursday night. :)
yay me.
