Interviewed today. I think it went pretty well. I passed the qualifying test (woo!), it was mostly questions like "Which number doesn't belong?" or "If A is B, and B is C then A = C. True or false"
I almost finished all 50 questions in the 12 minutes. I got hung up on a fraction question. *sigh* I should have gone with my gut instinct, I put the wrong answer. No matter, I passed.

So, interviewed with Branch Manager and I think that went well. Then I interviewed with *his* manager, that one I don't know if it went so well. He seemed distracted. I should find out no later than week after next. Next step is a ride along then interview with regional manager. Keep your fingers crossed. There are only 2 positions available. I found out it's a bit more away training than I thought, so if I do get this job, I'll have to make provisions for the cats. We'll have to see.

Shipping job is cool, though. Today was kind of slow, so I was actually quite happy to get out of there early today. I think I'll need to get some of those gel inserts for my heels, they KILL ME at the end of the day. Breaks are interesting there. Everyone responds to the buzzer that sounds at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. (lunch) and 2:30 p.m. All work just stops. It's amazing to watch. I haven't had this kind of atmosphere since high school. It makes sense, but still...weird. :)

Tomorrow is probably going to suck since i'll be there from 7 a.m until 3:30 p.m. and then rush home (if possible, stupid slow moving asshats) change into pizza shirt, if I'm lucky, I'll rest for about 30 minutes and then go to work and close for the night. I have Saturday off though. I may head up to parilous' house for a car washing and some laundry.

I am very sleepy right now though, the nachos are sitting in my belly and making me very happy.

Damn, dude. Who comes after the Regional Manager? Do you have an interview with the damn Pope or something? If you don't get this job, you should take the Erin Brockovich approach and just start working somewhere. Don't wear the neck brace, though. You'd look better with a scarf. Another thing you should do that Erin Brockovich did is sleep with the next neighbor you have who owns a motorcycle. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Don't tell the Pope I was telling you these things.

I think the Regional Manager is the end of the line and then he sends his proclamation from on high or something like that.

I don't have a neighbor that drives a motorcycle. Should I just go jump on the first guy I see on a motorcycle? Also, should I then ask him to watch my cats while I'm off doing research somewhere, since I don't have any kids?

I'm not on speaking terms with the Pope ever since he took my good carving knife and when I called him out on it, he said it was his.

That sounds like a good plan. You could probably meet a lot of guys on motorcycles at Safehouse. I'm sure there are some who would be good with cats. Maybe you could do some research on beryllium contamination in South Tucson. It's an issue here.

As for the Pope, I would go ahead and let him keep your knife. He has a lot of emotional issues, and he likes to cut himself a lot. Give him some time, though, and he'll get better.

I think the guys are Safehouse are mostly 12-steppers though. While I applaud their commitment to sobriety, I need to have a drink every once in a while.

I don't know about researching beryllium...sounds boring. Just typing it made me sleepy. I need a sexier cause.

And Mr. Pope can keep the knife AND TELL HIM TO STOP CALLING ME!

Okay, I just talked to the Pope. He wants to know if he can still send you text messages.

That figures. I'm sure he'd promise you an eternity of unlimited text messages, or some crap like that, but who even trusts the Pope these days? Everyone knows God speaks to George W. Bush.
