I'm exhausted. Get to go to both places tomorrow and somehow fit some laundry in there, too.

I talked to my dad this afternoon in a half sleep (I was the sleeping party in this case, it's usually the other way around) and he gave me an update on my mom.

She had gotten a test done to see if she would be ok for back surgery in a few weeks. They discovered some scar tissue around her heart and realized that she had had a "silent heart attack". Apparently this is fairly common in women and she had no idea, and most women don't either. So, today she had to have a cardiac catheterization and they discovered some blockages which led to her having angioplasty. She was in ICU for the afternoon and they put her into a regular room later in the evening.

The kicker: she had KFC for dinner. *sigh*

So, she has to wait six more weeks before she can have the surgery for her back. The hard part is getting it scheduled since it's through workman's comp. Those guys never want to pay anything.

My dad told me she was doing fairly well this evening. She's due home tomorrow morning, so I think everything is gonna be okay.

There is a small part of me dreading the phone call...I'm gonna get an earful. :) :) :)

If you get an earful (about money, surgery, health scares), then you be sure to give an earful BACK about the freakin' KFC.

Glad she's okay. Hopefully your dad is hanging in there.

I hope your parents are both okay. At least your mother is probably in a state with good hospitals. Take care.
