It would have helped if I had actually eaten a real meal before going out.
Perhaps I should start from the beginning. When I get to the end, I'll stop.
Blah blah warehouse work. "No work tomorrow."
"Even for an hour to make up some time I lost this week?"
"Nope, unless Eleanor has something for you to do."
"Eleanor, are you working tomorrow?"
"Oh HELL no."
So, no warehouse work the next day and getting off early on Friday night from pizza all bodes well for an evening of hanging with friends. Take a short nap before pizza, get dressed, get to the end of the road when I get a call from the boss.
"Want the night off?"
"It's really slow here."
"All right. I'll see you later, then."
So, I call up the Tron and we hit the Firecracker for half price appetizers and iced green tea (yum!). Then we head for the Home Depot where I buy a new faucet. Of course, later in the evening I told B and L that I bought a new sink. They were slightly confused. I was also 2 beers in when I made that exclamation. yeah, I know. Lightweight. Again, I'm getting ahead of myself.
So, leave for the Home Depot when receiving a call from B to meet at this bar on 4th. Sure, no problem. See you there at 10. Go to Home Depot, return to house, shower, change and head for bar on 4th with M.
$3 cover charge. For a Grateful Dead cover band. Ugh. $2.50 Kilts make up for that though. Get to see H, S, B, L and D (who is not on the LJ...weirdo). Hang out, be silly, talk about crotches and boobs and phones and dudes rubbing up on us whilst seated. Take M back to her car, go back to hang out some more. See B's place now that it's fixed up a bit more. Head home, pass out and wake up at 7 in the morning with a head full of cotton and death. Take advil and drink huge glass of water. All faucet plans are down the drain (no pun intended) and I retire to bed.
Was supposed to help L with curtains today, but that just wasn't going to happen. I need to laze around and just chill in my dark a/c hole and drink water and watch movies. Like Forrest Gump and Good Night and Good Luck.
I would be more whatever, but I lack the initiative and energy to be more whatever. I think this whole most of Saturday off thing is such a novelty that I don't know what to do with it. If we didn't have more filming to do tomorrow, I would do all of that stuff tomorrow. The sacrifices made for art.
And how's your Saturday?
