So, my dad's sister called. She is offering to buy me a ticket to FL to come visit to cheer up my parents. My mom is getting depressed. She hasn't worked for most of the year, no workman's comp payments are coming in, had to borrow money from her dad to keep paying the bills, my dad is working as hard as he can. *sigh*

So, I think I'll take her up on the offer. I'd be gone for 4 days the first week of October. I have to clear it with work first. Stupid warehouse.

Hmm...I'd also miss First Friday at the Loft. I think this is a bit more important though.

Funny, someone asked me last week, "So, what do you want for Christmas?"
"A plane ticket home."

I guess wishes do come true, just a few months early is all. :)

YAY!

There should be plenty more First Fridays at the Loft. Have a great trip.

I'm sure your visit home will cheer up your mom, but it's not your responsibility to make sure that your mom isn't depressed. She's depressed because of circumstances, and since you can't change those circumstances, you can't fix her depression. Capice?

However, it will be good to see your family again and hug the twins -- I know you miss them like crazy! It's too bad you won't be able to see H. or your grandfather, though. :(

Which days will you be gone? I'll be happy to come by and check on Vera.

Fam is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important than the Loft. I'm glad to hear you'll be able to visit.
