Day 3

I have a user account now, but no internet connection. I don't think I'll be getting one either. Oh well. Probably wouldn't be able to get on LJ anyways.

Vera is trying to climb into the window area. There isn't room for her though. I'll have to see about setting something up for her so she can sit and feel the breeze and watch the birds this winter. Probably after I get back from Florida.

When I showed up at break today a couple of people figured I had quit yesterday. I told them the thought was in my mind. I just called (just this minute!) Robert Half because I sent in 2 resumes for 2 positions they had listed on tucsonhelpwanted. We'll see if Debra calls me back. :)

Anyways, so yeah, talked to HR lady today, she asked me about my back and asked if I wanted to do a formal injury report complete with doctor visit. I told her that I did not want to because then I would be forced to stay out of work for 3-4 days. I can't afford it. She agreed and asked what happened and I told her what I thought happened and she said, "Why were you doing it by yourself?"
"Because no one else was around to help and it needed to get done."

See, this is the problem, shit needs to get done, but no one wants to do it.

Linda, one of the ladies who sits with us at lunch, said, "You know you have no future here, right?"
"Yeah, I knew that from day one."

So, gotta stick it out in the office for a bit. I kind of miss working down there, just the comraderie (pretty much with the ladies and a few people outside of the department) and the activeness. Ah well.

I had happier thoughts while driving home, but I've forgotten them now. I think instead of discussing work on this here LJ, I'll just say "toe socks"...gotta have something to replace what that means. :)
