I'm paying 30% on one of my credit cards. Can you believe that?

I'm starting to look into some consumer credit counseling stuff, that is ridiculous. Payday Loans don't charge that freaking much.

No wonder Visa/Mastercard is worth trillions of freaking dollars.

Be careful with the credit counselling stuff. Someone I know almost go burned badly by one that was funded by a credit card company. There are a bunch of articles out there about choosing a legit one.

I'm already starting a list of who to contact. You know, for when I have copious amounts of free time. :)

Whoa! Can't you open a new account -- you know, one of those credit cards that says you get 0% interest for the first 10 months and balance transfers are free? I would transfer the balance and start paying it off while there's no interest. Sheesh. 30% is highway robbery.

Yee-ikes! The way to avoid that interest rate is by paying your monthly bill on time. If you miss payments, they start to see your account as a risk so they increase your interest rate. Check your agreement. It should tell you how high the rate could go.

Sincerely,
Your friendly Credit Manager

Yeah, that's what happened with it. But, damn, 30%? I think that's a bit much to charge anyone. I like how they make it harder for you to get yourself back on track. No matter, it shall all be taken care of soon.
