Phase 2 or 3, I've lost track. I'm getting the cold. Throat is all scratchy. Nose is running. Dammit.

But, it's monday. I played some scrabble yesterday, had a 119 point word (bingo on a triple word score...and a note of thanks to matt), that was pretty awesome.

Did you know I had over $20 in dimes sitting around the house? That's pretty interesting.

I downloaded a bunch of podcasts. Maybe I'll spend my morning doing prep and learning French. That's fun.

I didn't schedule a cook this morning, so it's just me. Luckily, I have most of my paperwork done already. So, that's good.

Ok, need to get to work. bleh.
mood: blahblah

I have nose issues. I don't think I'd be able to handle it. I can't even do nasal spray. *shudder* I have my shower tablets that release all the menthol stuff. And the humidifier. I'll make it through.

Yeah, quite a few of the peeps from this company go up there. I feel bad, I never did call your boss about the food trade thing. :(

I think you've inspired me to finally take my jar of insulting tip money (from my Borders days) to a Coinstar machine and get a damn Amazon gift certificate.

Why are you learning French?

Neti pots feel weird as hell, but they do help.

Why We Cite: Ass Wipes
Lately I've had this weird problem buying books at Borders: The book I want always happens to be creased or something. I figure if I'm going to buy a book that's in crappy shape, I should buy it at a used bookstore for the used price--not at a new bookstore for the cover price. I go to a new bookstore to buy something in near-pristine condition--not something that looks as if it was used as a doorstop.

I don't know if there's a weird conspiracy against me, or if Borders just has a lot of bottom-feeding customers who like to be rough with books and other merchandise. Judging by my experience working for Borders, I think it has a lot of bottom-feeding customers. That's probably more plausible than a conspiracy theory, don't you think?

There are quite a few people who treat bookstores like libraries. I never understood it. The best were people who would buy books and then bring them back. For a refund. With a straight face. We actually had to explain to this one girl that this was NOT a library, it was a book STORE. We told her where the library was. She said, "Well, the library never has the books that I want to read." We told her she was no longer welcome in our store.
