It's been a while since I posted.

I had a lovely visit with Heather over the Labor Day weekend. It was nice to have a holiday off, too. I mean, one that everyone didn't have off. Very relaxing, but slightly stressful visit. Most of the stress was just being around someone for six days with no breaks. Except for sleeping time. And potty breaks. Otherwise, just around each other every minute. Exhausting. But, relaxing in that I could just leave my phone wherever I wanted and didn't have to think about whether or not there was a phone call from work asking me silly questions (F10).

We did the desert museum, but only for an hour. I was sweating, because it was in the upper 90s, but she was dying, because it was in the upper 90s. I forget that people who don't live here aren't used to this. Made me feel a little better about my abilities in being outdoors. Although, I wasn't a big fan of the sweating. So, another time when I have a day off, I might head out to the museum and actually take time to walk around and snap photos and watch the mountain lions (maybe actually get some pawlicking action like in the postcards!) and see wolves and what not. That will be a fun time.

We went to the casino and played bingo. We didn't win. :( I came REALLY close though. Oh well. We decided for financial reasons to push a Tombstone visit off until her next visit. We've decided that she should come in the winter. So she doesn't sweat to death.

Thanks to everyone who came out to meet Heather, and just hanging out in general. She enjoyed everyone's company and was very pleased to meet all of you. Big shout out to Dr. Awesome for helping her with restaurant numbers. :)

In other news, I'm back to work. The kids did an ok job while I was gone. Good for them. Ok. I need to get some work done. I'm the only one inside for the next few hours. YAY!!
