Brunch was missing the key member this morning and didn't last very long. There were some extenuating circumstances, however.

speranzosa had a beautiful kitty follow her home from her morning walk. He is GORGEOUS. Beautiful blue eyes, pretty decent coat and so very affectionate. Honestly, if my place was bigger and didn't have a 2 pet limit, I would have snagged him immediately.

We think he's an abandoned pet. He isn't skittish like a feral cat, he's very friendly with people. Came right up to me and decided that I would be his new friend, too. He even let me pick him up multiple times with no issues, no squirming, no mewling. Unlike my very domesticated Vera who sounds like she's having her tail ripped from her body if you pick her up. Nope, he just settled in for a good scratch behind the ears before he wanted down.

He isn't neutered, which could be the reason he was dumped. More than likely he started spraying and they didn't like that so they decided to just get rid of him. This, more than anything, pisses me off. The amount of ignorance and irresponsibility that these people showed is HUGE. *sigh*

So, if anyone wants a kitty, I will pay for him to be neutered and get his first round of shots. Since we don't know if he's had them, we have to do them again. Poor kittyhead.

He's really beautiful. Here's a picture I took with my camera to prove it!

Dang! Is that a Siamese cat? I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

On an unrelated note, is LiveJournal ridiculously slow for you right now?

Wow! What a sweet-looking kitty! I can't help you with this, but I just wanted to let you know I think you're awesome to take the time to help him out--good luck finding him a loving home.

I will split the cost of the neutering and shots and with you... since I'm the softie that let him follow me home and then fed him. But seriously, how could anyone say no to a kitty that followed you for almost a mile on your morning walk?

I checked the Humane Society page -- it's only $35 to get him fixed. I am kicking myself for buying that kitten care package for Loretta when she could have gotten all of her care for so much less... but then, she had a rough kittenhood and deserved all the best. I'm sure she thinks so too since she's too snobby to ever say hi to me! :P

It will be another $23-33 for his shots, but they won't neuter him without administering shots. And he can get dewormed, if necessary, for another $15.

I gotta find a home for him quick. He is mewing up a storm to come in. Pepper keeps thumping against the door to announce her territory. It would be funny if I was into never-ending mewing and thumping.

I'll chip in for neutering expenses, too. I'm sorry that I can't take him, but after our cat-related expenses in July and October 2008 (almost $5K), I'm already kind of in the dog house for getting another cat. This is mostly mitigated by Charlie having pet insurance, but well-care isn't covered and Tosh is likely to need well-care.

Still, he's beautiful -- an ad placed on CraigsList is bound to turn up a willing family...

definitely a siamese. i'd say a lilac or chocolate point--it's hard to tell from the photo. can't believe that someone would just dump such a sweet cat--and such a pretty one. and yet, i can. i've seen it happen before, and have taken care of too many abandoned kitties. i'm not allowed to have any more kitties, or i'd take him in a heartbeat :-).
