Uncle Mike wants to cut the managers' pay to $22k/year.

55 hours a week.

Let's do the math.

The cooks will make more than the managers.

good luck with finding new management, buddy.

You, sir, win Dumb Shit of the year award.

If you wanted to run the company into the ground (which is actually seeming more and more plausible), you completed your task in little over one year.

You have GOT to be shitting me. You should be making at least $12 an hour for what you have to put up with in that torture chamber.

I currently make $11.51 @ 55 hours a week.

There is a supervisor at another store who makes more than I do. $12.50 to be exact.

Nice, huh?

That's fucked. And they only do that crap because the economy is shitty and they know people can't afford to quit.

You deserve better, man.

That's some BULLSHIT right there.

If you hadn't already given notice, this may have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

Man. Lousy telephony jobs here in the Midwest pay $10-14 with full benefits. Hell, federal minimum wage is $7.25/hr. Man. He's guaranteeing that the only people he can get into management are those who cannot get work as anything else, anywhere else. (Or, conceivably, those who are awful at math...) And decent managers make or break a company. As he's kind of demonstrating by setting the compensation low enough to encourage side-business... extra-legal side business.

Whether or not this affects your current level of pay, get your resume current and be looking for a new job. Dunno if the place will fold first, or if he's going stick you with 80 hr weeks "until we find another manager to help out."

I wish I had a company to run into the ground. It sounds like fun!
