After many hoops, I have finally scored an interview with Remedy. Sheesh. I passed the tests for typing and 10-key (because I'm AWESOME at those things...okay, not as good as Dave, but for me, you know, whatever). Have appointment on Monday morning! Yay! Hopefully I'll have a job by the middle of next week. Not a career...a job. Something to bring some cash in. Yay!

MGP lost Best of Tucson. I knew they were going to, so it wasn't a huge surprise, BUT I am wondering how bad things are in the office right now. hahahahahahaha Also, slight vindication, even though the votes were in way before I left, but still, you know, it makes me feel a little better.

Went to SCORE today to talk to a guy who is very familiar with brokers and business buying and selling. Right now, broker dude says, I'm just spinning my wheels since I have no money. I figured as much, but it was nice to hear it out in the open. My only option (besides coming into a large sum of money) is to go in through the back door and see if I can talk them into letting me work there. 1) to see if I really want to own the place and 2) to get a better idea of the financials since I can't get that info from the broker since I have no $$ to even walk in her door.

I'll probably go over there this weekend and chat with them about that.

I'm going up to Bazil's this afternoon and applying there for a server job. It's at freaking Swan and Sunrise, but if the tips are worth it, then the gas might be worth it.

I'm reading Cheap: The High Cost of Discount Culture right now.

I'll do a review when I'm done.

Ok, going to read for a bit, maybe have a spot of lunch and then go apply and then come home and read some more. Yay!

Congrats on the interview; sorry to hear about the dead-end. I like the idea of starting to work there and learning more about the day-to-day.

I look forward to the review. Is it going to say that it's to blame for importing/exporting imbalance? By the way, did you know that you can buy a shipping container that's been completely remodeled-for-human-residency for about $20K? We just have so many lying around, apparently.

Nihil Obstat
I'm not really that great at 10-key! It is a really colossal pain to try to find work right now. I hope this week is the week you get lucky!

10 key is the one thing I'm really good at. Thanks to many months of doing medical records data entry. Hopefully I get this, it will be nice to just have a job again, something to do all day long.
