Interesting year. I think I'll spare everyone the lookback and the hopeful look forward. I don't quite have the energy right now. Suffice to say, I'm hoping that 2010 is a bit better all around than this year was.
I bought a new litter box. It's GINORMOUS. Mostly, I wanted the higher sides to keep everything in the box. Vera can't squat as low as she used to. Speaking of Vera, she will be 10 in June. 10 years she's been following me around, hanging out, being all grouchy and lovey at the same time. She has traveled across the state of Florida a few times (long ways and short ways) and across the country. Quite a life. I hope I have her for another 10 years, even though she can be a royal pain the ass sometimes (especially with the plastic bag chewing, wtf is up with that?)
She was funny the other morning, though. My cell phone alarm was going off and she was batting it like she was trying to hit the snooze button. Laughing at that actually got me up yesterday. So silly.
They are opening a Cheesecake Factory in town. I'm going to go apply as soon as I can. I have a feeling I can make more there in a week than I do being chained to a desk. I can't stand not being able to move around. There had been talk of moving us to a new facility, and that facility has those desks that you can raise up so you can work standing or sitting. I LOVE those desks. But, they have decided to keep us where we are (rumor has it that the client doesn't want to pay to move us since we are a site of "concern" the numbers have been dropping for the past three months, maybe they should throw us some raises and maybe morale will jump a little bit).
The twins had a good xmas, my mother took some of the inheritance money and bought them gifts. They each had 19. I must say, I was a little jealous, but they are good kids for the most part. And seeing as their years consist of b-day and xmas for presents, why the heck not? We bought Brandi and Nica a cooking set for xmas. They had two pots and one was missing a handle. This will make things a lot easier for them.
Target has Mt. Dew and Pepsi throwback right now. They are made with real sugar, not HFCS. Can you say delicious? I can. :D :D :D
Ok, I'm going to watch some Psych and maybe have myself a bowl of cereal or a bagel.
