Finally, a minute to breathe. Just finished a lovely dinner cooked by the awesome Josh. Man. I love when he cooks. It's always so good and peppery. :) After dinner I cleaned up the kitchen a bit and squeezed the last of the bag of oranges. I love having fresh squeezed juice. I know exactly what's in it. Oranges. That's it. Probably better for my blood sugars to actually have a sugar that is natural and not high fructose corn syrup or what have you. I'm off the soda. I had one last week and couldn't even finish the can of it. Made me sick to my stomach. Too sweet. And that was diet soda too. I'm officially on water. I've noticed that my skin is clearing up too.

I put this behind a cut because if you aren't interested in my new job, you don't have to read about it. So, the lady I replaced was a month behind. We are finding all sorts of stuff that wasn't done or wasn't done properly. I'm going through old payrolls to enter them into the accounting software to get everything ready for job cost analysis. She was a month behind on that too. I caught the invoices up in one day. Not too shabby. It helps that I don't have to answer the phone except for about an hour during the day. So, that's nice. I'm almost over 40 hours this week. I think tomorrow will put me over and Friday will probably be straight overtime. Rock on. They aren't too concerned with overtime, especially not right now as I am catching up and learning in the process. I'm really enjoying this job though. I need to figure out what my systems are going to be so that it will nice and organized and efficient. I do the payroll, call it in and enter it in the system. I may make Wednesday my payroll day. Do nothing until I get the payroll done. That might work out well. The invoices aren't so much to keep up with. Soon I'll be doing notice to the banks, probably the daily reports and I am already doing the credit card receipts. So far so good. Tomorrow I have to enter some in, but there aren't that many, so it won't take but a half hour or so. I really like the people there. Everyone is pretty laid back. Most of the guys speak Spanish, so I finally have a chance to brush up on it. I think I'll ask my mom to send me the Learn Spanish software they got with their computer many moons ago. That way I can really remember and be able to talk to them better. Especially when I try to figure out their credit card receipts.

So, life here is good. I'm enjoying myself. I enjoyed my weekend back home, but I was itching to get back here. I've settled in nicely. School is going great. Getting good grades, this class is almost over. Only two more weeks, then I think I get a week to breathe and then back to another six weeks. I have to remember to pay my $150 so that I can actually get enrolled in the class. I'll probably do that Saturday. I have to change my credit card info anyways as Wachovia decided that I need a NEW check card. *sigh* I had to change all sorts of accounts. Oh, damn, I forgot to change my Upromise account info too. *sigh*

So, how was that for an update?
