I have less than $20 until Friday (after I put $10 gas in the car and my credit card consolidation bill is paid on Wednesday).

Obviously, this means I can't afford cigarettes. Now, in theory, I could buy a pack and just stretch it out until Friday, I could even buy two and stretch those out until Friday, but what if I need a loaf of bread or a gallon of juice or more gas? Exactly. So, the last one as smoked around 2:30 in the morning. Today. The coughing up stuff started this morning. I wish the patch worked for me, at least it would help with the cravings! :)

So far, it isn't so bad. Then again, I've been through this shit before. Over and over again I put myself through this. And for what? I don't even know! *sigh*

At least I haven't been smoking at the new job. I have no triggers there, so that's a good start.

In other news, I think my Scrabble mojo is coming back. I won three out of four games today. OH YEAH! Woo! *dances* Nothing feels better than beating Matt at Scrabble. We joked about how he would be on a game show, like Deal or No Deal. We have a feeling the audience wouldn't like him, he would take too long figuring the odds. heheheheeh I'm glad that Matt is a trooper and takes the teasing in stride. He's a good person that way.

Still loving the new job. I have email now with them, my login works for the online records. Yay! All I need now is my laptop and I'll be good to go. If I so chose, I could work off site as long as people can't see the screen as I'm typing on it, you know privacy and stuff. More than likely, I'll just stick around the office, but maybe (if the network will let me) I could take a few Fridays/Saturdays and head up to Marana to do some work and hang out at the same time. *eyebrow waggle* I'd just have to make sure I put out extra water/food for the kitties if I do it. They weren't too happy with me last weekend. Of course, they got over it.

I'm almost fully over to my daywalker schedule. It's just after 9 p.m. and I'm really sleepy. I'll probably read for an hour or two and then fall asleep. If I can, I'd like to get to work by 8 tomorrow to get started early on stuff. Although, what stuff I'll be doing, I'm not so sure. Have to see where everyone is with their notes, etc. on their cases. Once I learn how to write a treatment plan and a discharge summary, I'll be all set. Yay!

You could always find random things around the house and see if smoking them works as a decent crutch. I know I used to do that when I was, you know, out of something. Banana peels aren't bad, but they take a while to try. Dried parsley is harsh at first, but it gives a decent buzz after you stop coughing.

I'm glad you're enjoying your new job! I'm still waiting for a call to see if I'll be switchin' jobs soon. Some dude was out of town, I guess, and he has the final say.
