Hi! Remember me?

Due to various things (holiday parties, no internet, holiday parties, sleepiness, watching "TV", etc.) I haven't been updating. I've been reading, though.

Lots of stuff has happened over the past however long it's been since I last posted here. Let's see. Had 2 holiday parties to go to for work. One was for the entire office (catered affair, raffle tickets, blah blah blah) and the other was for my department (pot luck, white elephant/dirty santa gift exchange, blah blah blah). That was two Saturdays I had to give up. Not trying to be scrooge or whatever, but you know, it's my WEEKEND, I'd like to use it as my own.

I did get a holiday bonus from work, after taxes it was just over $32. :) They award bonuses based on seniority and your level. There really isn't a way for me to increase my level (this is a way of showing that you are learning, etc.) as I have no client contact and I'm a clinical writer. But, I'm okay with that.

I got a part time job back at ye olde MGP as a driver. I'll be working in my old store. This is gonna be funny. :)

My driver's side car door handle broke on the outside. I took it in today to get fixed. The dealership sent the wrong part, so it's there overnight. I should have it back in the morning.

Need to mail out the family christmas gifts. Need to pick up something for my redditor rematch person.

Going back to Florida for a week in January. Ok, I'm boring myself. :)

Ooo, what did you get your family for gifts? Have you heard about amazon's new "return it before you receive it" policy? It's similar to QVC's...

Two books (fantasy type stuff) and a DVD for my dad (Zorro television shows) and some Star Trek comic books.

Haven't heard about the policy, but I didn't use amazon, I went to bookman's. I still had all that credit there. It's all gone now. YAY!

at least you're working and have a place to stay and money TO send gifts

I spent Christmas alone in a Motel 6 with my cat :(

Most of that is true. I didn't have the money to buy the gifts, I used trade credit at a store here. But, I had to wait until after Christmas to mail them out.

I've spent the last five Christmases alone. I actually prefer it, no stress from family, no "obligation" to give gifts, and no travel time. Sleep in and read all day. Hope you find a job soon!

oh, I don't mind spending the Holidays alone

I generally do (all but one family member has passed on)

I guess I was just feeling sorry for being thrown out of the place I was staying on christmas eve

and its likely I'll be in an extended stay place for New Year's :-/

even when I did celebrate the 25th, I rarely cared to get prezzies ON the day
