So, I'm on reddit. I'm currently in a discussion with someone about how it is acceptable to be an asshat to a cashier because you don't like the return policy. Apparently, it's ok because he is not there to soothe my ego (I'm paraphrasing, but the guy SERIOUSLY keeps talking about my ego).

I am just not understanding how it's ok, in a civilized society, to yell at someone because you aren't getting your way. For a three year old that shit doesn't even work.

Thoughts?

Wednesday Lee Friday: Really?
Lemme make sure I've got this: A guy who thinks it's his right to make a rude scene because he doesn't get what he wants--even when he knows damn well it's not the clerks decision--is accusing someone else of having too much ego? That would be humorous if it wasn't a microcosm of an entire segment of the population.

I am reminded of a T-shirt they used to sell at The Onion:
RELAX, I'm just being a total asshole.
picword: Really?
